Watch our FREE training video: how to protect personal data when working from home

To help small businesses protect personal data when their staff are home working, we have created a FREE short training video that explains to your staff why security is important and what steps they need to take to ensure your business is complying with data protection legislation during this challenging time.

If you are responsible for data protection, make sure your team watch this five-minute video and ensure they know how to protect personal data when working from home.

I have been asked to watch this video - Why?

The company you work for has a legal requirement to protect personal data. This means that wherever you are, if you collect, hold, use or disclose personal data in your job, you must protect it and ensure it’s not lost, stolen or destroyed.

Many more people are working from home because of Covid-19 which puts personal data more at risk. We have made this short video to help ensure that anyone working from home can protect personal data at this difficult time.

What is personal data?

Personal data includes anything that could be used to identify a living individual - from a phone number or email address to a picture to more sensitive information such as credit card details and what’s called ‘special category data’ such as date of birth, race & ethnicity.

It’s not just about your customers or clients but colleagues, suppliers, competitors or anyone else you deal with in the course of your work. Find out more about personal data.

I’m responsible for data protection in my small business, what else do I need to do?

If you are responsible for data protection in your small business, find out how else you can protect personal data when your team is working from home.
