Calling IFAs – Got any unanswered GDPR questions?
What should you do if you receive a subject request from a third party? What information are you allowed to keep when archiving client data? If you are sending application forms via Royal Mail should these be sent recorded delivery? Do you have any unanswered GDPR questions that are holding back your compliance?
Astrid and our IFA compliance partner Compliance and Training Solutions Ltd (CATS) are holding a webinar on Wednesday 26th September to address the questions financial advisors have around compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The 45 minute webinar at 1pm will be hosted by Chartered Financial Planner and CATS Director, Mel Holman. With over 20 years’ experience in the financial services profession, Mel will be putting financial advisers’ questions to Astrid’s Managing Director, Gerrard Fisher. Gerrard is formally trained as a GDPR practitioner and developed Astrid’s GDPR compliance process.
Mel says: “At CATS we know that there are common concerns that regulated firms and financial planners are having. As compliance consultants we are keen to support our clients with GDPR and see this as a great opportunity for firms to have their questions answered.”

According to recent research, only 20% of companies have fully completed their GDPR implementation, with the complexity of GDPR being the biggest challenge to achieving compliance.
Gerrard says: “For those that deal with financial information, the consequences of non-compliance with GDPR are huge. We want to find out what issues are holding IFAs back and answer as many questions as possible to help them become GDPR compliant and protect clients’ personal data. ”
Email hello@weareastrid.co.uk with your question and we will do our best to answer it in our webinar.
